Salvation and Transfiguration female monastery
Construction of Salvation and Transfiguration female monastery began in 1683 by diligence of the widow of Solikamsk merchant Feodor Shchepotkin - Evdokiya. The founders of the monastery took the veil and took the name Melaniya and remained its successor till 1723, having left memory in history of city as example of selfless life. In 1764 the monastery was abolished and the churches became parish churches.
Ensemble of the monastery consists of winter Vvedenskaya (1702-1703) and summer Transfiguration (1690-1692) churches. The dome of Transfiguration church is covered with aspen ploughshare.
