Trinity cathedral
Stone Piously-Trinity summer cathedral was built in 1684 on a place of the burned down wooden church. Its construction began with support of Solikamsk’s people, but the monetary treasury quickly came to the end. The townspeople applied to tsars Ioann Alekseevich and Peter Alekseevich to render some money help from the state treasury. According to sovereign decree in 1688, 200 rubles from customs and tavern’s incomes were given. In memory of it, in the southern wall of the temple the tile with a two-headed eagle was made, and on the western wall the crown from brick was made.
The cathedral is five-domed and square. It is led round from three parties by gallery, with the fourth - altar semicircle pridelov John Predtechi and Nikolay Wonder-maker, closed with an average altar. The architecture of the temple is easy. Walls are decorated with elements of the carved wooden constructions talently executed by craftsmen in a stone: carved krylets, windows, "bugs ornament ". Now in Trinity cathedral the showroom of a department of history and local lore museum is placed and the exposition " the Ninth Friday ", which is about the main local holiday of Solikamsk is opened.
