Art museum
In collection of the
museum there are outstanding samples of a folk art of Solikamsk and its
vicinities. Among them - decorative lists of interiors and subjects of
life. More than 500 samples of Solikamsk tiles are stored in the museum.
Tiles art is connected with stone construction in city at the end of
XVII century. In some Solikamsk temples, first of all – in Epiphany
church tiles decor was widely applied. Several compositions made of
stove tiles are stored in the museum, earlier the city dwellers
decorated their houses with such compositions, which are unique examples
of local graphic traditions. In the museum exposition a large collection
of products from porcelain and faience is presented. In it a number of
the basic directions in development of this area of an applied art in
Russia and abroad, during XVIII-XX centuries is reflected. In collection
of the art museum there are works of serf artists Stroganov, S. Yushkov,
I.Doshchennikov and of some other outstanding old masters of Prikamye.
In its expositions works of modern artists of Solikamsk among which
significant interest represents creativity of M. Potapov which basic
directions are graphic motives on bible plots and variations on themes
of history and culture of Ancient Egypt are widely presented. |
