Nature in Ishym

‘A Forest plane’ is a
permanent exposition of the Ishym museum. Since the time of its
organization the museum has been involved in study of the local nature.
Legends on hunting traditions have been passed from generation to
generation. The biggest representatives of the local fauna are elk, wild
bore, deer, wolf, and fox. There are also badger, ermine, weasel,
polecat, hare. The birds are represented by black grouse, blackbird,
cuckoo, oriol, magpie, rook, crow, and owl. Among natatorials are wild
geese, ducks, swans, cranes, pelicans, looms, bittern, and gulls. The
exposition provides a good opportunity to get an insight into natural
and landscape characteristics of Ishym.
